Senegal have been knocked out of the Russia 2018 World Cup after losing 1-0 to Colombia.

Senegal needed a draw to progress to the next stage but they were undone by a late Colombia goal.

Questions have been raised as to why the Teranga Lions conceded from a headed corner following the height and strength they have. The real reason was the indolence of Idrissa Gana Gueye.

The Senegalese who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Everton was at fault and could have done extremely better after the header from the Colombia Yerry Mina, rather, he was leaning on the post with his right hand on his waist.

The path the ball moved following the header was just at the direction where Iddrissa Gana Gueye was standing but did absolutely nothing to prevent the goal.
