Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey believes Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu is not ripe for the Black Stars job.

Randy Abbey who is among a three-man committee set up to find a new Black Stars coach, has all but ruled Samuel Boadu out of consideration.

This follows the sacking of Black Stars coach CK Akonnor by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday.

The 47-year-old and his two assistants, David Duncan and Patrick Greveraars, were all fired after Ghana’s poor start to the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The GFA subsequently named a three-member committee made up of its Vice President Mark Addo, Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Randy Abbey to find the next national team coach within the next 72 hours.

During Tuesday’s edition of Good Morning Ghana, he was asked if they are considering the appointment of Samuel Boadu as the Black Stars coach.

However, Randy Abbey confirmed the Hearts of Oak coach will not be CK Akonnor's successor.

“His (Samuel Boadu) time will come,” the GFA Executive Council member said.

"He is currently the deputy coach of the U-20, we need to help and groom people. We sometimes don't rush people into things, you need to prepare them. If you really want people to succeed you need to help them to be ready."

Boadu is currently one of the highly-rated managers in Ghana, having won the league and FA Cup double with Hearts of Oak last season.

The 35-year-old has previously revealed his interest in the national team job after insisting the Black Stars was "not bigger" than him.
