Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been shortlisted for the 2025/26 Premier League Player of the Season award following an impressive campaign with AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City.

The 25-year-old forward enjoyed a standout season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 35 Premier League appearances.

Semenyo made a strong impression during the first half of the season at Bournemouth, where his pace, strength and attacking versatility established him as one of the league’s top performers before earning a January move to Manchester City.

Since joining Pep Guardiola’s side, the Ghanaian forward has maintained his excellent form and contributed significantly to City’s title challenge.

He made an immediate impact at the Etihad Stadium, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five Premier League matches in February to win his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

Semenyo’s ability to play across multiple attacking positions has been one of his biggest strengths this season. He has featured effectively on both wings, as a central striker and occasionally in midfield, drawing praise for his work rate, physicality and tactical adaptability.

He is among eight players nominated for the prestigious award alongside Bruno Fernandes, Gabriel Magalhães, Morgan Gibbs-White, Erling Haaland, David Raya, Declan Rice and Igor Thiago.

The Premier League is expected to announce the winner next week.
