Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Ghana international Tariq Lamptey.

The 25-year-old joins the club from Fiorentina, where he made just two appearances before suffering an ACL injury that ended his season.

Lamptey is still recovering but is expected to be available for selection for his new club in September.

"I'm excited for the opportunity ahead," the defender said after signing for the Championship side.

"When I spoke to the gaffer and [QPR CEO] Christian [Nourry], the project was an encouraging one.

"The team have ambitious goals for this season, so I'm looking forward to it."

Before his brief stint with Fiorentina, Lamptey played 122 times for Brighton in all competitions, scoring five times.
