Tema Youth goalkeeper Christian Addai has undergone successful surgery on his injured right leg picked up last week.
The goalkeeper who doubles as the club's captain injured his right leg while playing in his Division One league Super Cup match against Bibiani Gold Stars.
However, he had to be a substitute in the 83rd minute of the clash after coming in contact with Bibiani Gold Stars striker.
The goalkeeper came out worse and had to receive urgent medical attention.
The medical team on the scene worked on him before an ambulance carried him to the hospital.
The club issued a statement that their goalkeeper will go under the knife this week and on Wednesday he did his surgery.
"We're glad to bring to the notice of the general public and the sporting fraternity that our Captain Christian Addai has successfully undergone a surgery on his broken leg. Thank you all for your fervent prayers and support," Tema Youth said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Tema Youth and Skyy FC will square off in the final of the maiden edition of Division One League Super Cup this weekend.
The two clubs have reached this far after overcoming their opponents in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
The Tema Youth beat FC Smartex 2-1 in the first semifinal fixture at the Madina AstroTurf and Skyy FC defeated Accra Lions in the other match.
