With just a point separating the top five, the Premier League's leading lights are already looking ahead to where the gaps could open up in the coming weeks — or close up for those following behind.

It is quite obvious that there are five teams in the title race but only one team can take the crown, and of the eight stand-out sides so far only four can fit into the Champions League-qualifying spots.

Manchester City lead the way as it stands, but Arsenal and Liverpool are level on points with the early leaders.

Chelsea and Tottenham follow up a point behind the top three, splitting themselves between the Champions League and Europa League qualifying spots on goal difference.

Everton, Manchester United and Southampton all have high expectations, too.  These are the games to move standings on the table.

Manchester City would play away to West Bromwich Albion in a tricky encounter on Saturday as Pep Guardialo is hoping to end his winning draught as they have gone six games without a win.

Arsenal would also be away to Sunderland and have to deal with the resilient Sunderland side who are good at spoiling the party for big teams.

Interestingly, Liverpool and Chelsea would also be away to Crystal Palace and Southamptom respectively. Jurgen Klopp would be hoping to smile away with a victory while Chelsea would be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after defeat to West Ham in EFL. Liverpool’s game is on Saturday while Chelsea will play on Sunday.

Another interesting encounter will be the clash between Tottenham and defending champions Leicester City. Tottenham would be hoping to deepen the woes of the champions who are having a terrible campaign so far.

In other games to look out for, Everton will come against West Ham while Manchester United after their win over Manchester City host Burnley at the Old Trafford.
