Tokyo Olympics qualifier: Black Queens to play Kenya in decider today

Ghana’s Black Queens are currently in Kenya and will play as guests to the Harambee Starlets in a crucial second leg tie of the second qualifying round to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The first leg of the encounter was played last week at the Accra Sports Stadium but ended in a goalless draw with the away side taking great delight from the result.

Ahead of the second leg today, both sides need to up their game and take their chances to have an opportunity of sailing through the next stage of the qualifiers.

Ghana coach, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo and her ladies have been in Kenya for the last 2 days and have been preparing to ensure they acclimatize before kickoff.

Though it will not be an easy game, the Black Queens are eagerly aiming for a win to ensure they keep their hopes of going into the fourth round stage of the qualifiers.

Ghana is yet to make an appearance in the Olympics.

Only the ultimate champions of the qualifiers at the end of the fifth round are guaranteed a place at the Olympics.

The deciding fixture between Kenya and Ghana will be played at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi. Kickoff is at 13:00GMT.
