Video: Hearts of Oak announce signing of Dennis Korsah from Ebusua Dwarfs

Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have bolstered their squad with the addition of a new left-back, Dennis Korsah.

The Phobians have today, January 31 completed the signing of Dennis Korsah from Division One side Ebusua Dwarfs in the ongoing transfer window.

 

The club took to their social media page to announce Korsah's signing.

Sulley Muntari's signing could change things for Hearts of Oak - Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu remains coy on the subject of signing former AC Milan and Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari.

Reports in the media over the weekend suggested Muntari has signed a one-year deal with the Phobians.

Speaking after the side 1-0 win over King Faisal, the former Medeama gaffer was coy when asked about the acquisition of ex-Inter Milan ace Sulley Muntari.

He however believes the potential signing of the 37-year could change things for his side.

Olembe Stadium given green light to host AFCON 2021 final after crush

The Olembe Stadium in Cameroon's capital Yaounde has been given approval to host a semi-final and the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, days after a fatal crush outside the ground.

Eight people died and 38 were injured when the hosts faced Comoros on Monday.

The announcement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) came after it received a report into the tragedy.

A statement said it was "confident" the safety and security of spectators "will be assured".

Tunisia sack coach Mondher Kebaier after AFCON 2021 exit

Mondher Kebaier has lost his job as the head coach of Tunisia after his side’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final exit to Burkina Faso.

Kebaier, 51, who had been in charge since August 2019, will be replaced by his 50-year-old deputy coach Jalel Kadri, the Tunisia Football Federation confirmed.

“It was decided to end the contractual relationship with Mondher Kebaier and to appoint Jalal Al-Qadri as his successor,” Tunisia said in a statement on their social media pages.

“We thank Mondher Kebaier for the efforts he made during the period he spent at the helm of the national team, wishing him success in the rest of his coaching career. We also wish Jalal Al-Qadri success in his new duties.”
Joseph Asare Bediako has claimed the NASCO Coach of the Month award for December.

The Aduana Stars coach steered his side to four wins and one defeat in five matches played in December.

This gives Aduana FC a December awards double after Emmanuel Gyamfi also emerged the Player of the Month.

Coach Bediako beat fellow nominees Samuel Boadu, Dr Prosper Ogum Narteh and Nurudeen Amadu.
