Black Stars on Tuesday played a 2-2 draw against Uganda in their second friendly match in Marrakech.

Having suffered a 2-1 defeat against Nigeria in their first game last weekend, the Black Stars were hoping to record their first win after their abysmal performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

Coach Otto Addo's side were twice pegged back after taking the lead through goals from Jerome Opoku and Jordan Ayew

Opoku, scoring his first goal for the Black Stars since his debut, broke the deadlock early in the game in the seventh minute after connecting with a corner kick delivered by Jordan Ayew.

However, Uganda's Steven Mukwala who plies his trade with Kotoko in Ghana swiftly equalized, capitalizing on a penalty opportunity to level the score at 1-1.

Jordan Ayew restored Ghana's lead with a well-taken penalty, marking his fourth goal in three consecutive national team appearances.

The Black Stars conceded in the last 10 minutes as Uganda forced the match to end in a 2-2 draw

Ghana's head coach, Otto Addo, made five changes to the starting lineup from their previous match against Nigeria, introducing players like Ebenezer Annan, Denis Odoi, Abu Francis, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Jojo Wollacott.
