Asante Kotoko on Monday failed to extend their lead at the top following the defeat to relegation-threatened Elmina Sharks.
The Porcupines striker Frank Etouga squandered a last-minute penalty kick as his side got beat 2-1 at the Ndoum Sports Stadium
Despite opening on the account in the game the Reds couldn't hold unto their lead as Sharks came from behind to carry the day.
Dickson Afoakwa opened the scoring for Kotoko in the 38th minute after George Mfegue had laid a pass for him to tap in from close range.
Coach Prosper Narteh saw his side reduced to ten men following a red card to Imoro Ibrahim.
Ebenezer Kwaw drew Sharks level on the stroke of halftime before Alhaji Mustapha put his outfit in the lead for the first time in the 52nd minute which proved to be the match-winner.

Elmina Sharks by virtue of the win has 11 points but still lies bottom of the table with Kotoko top the league with 33 points.
