A video of four teenage boys allegedly gang-raping a young girl which has gone viral has sparked outrage on social media with many Ghanaians calling for the heads of the perpetrators.
The about five minutes video shows an underage girl pinned to a mattress by one of her abusers while his accomplices take turns to perform sexual acts on her.
It is not known where and when the incident took place but in the video, the victim is seen struggling with her abductors who take turns to unleash their unbridled libido on the helpless girl who at a point had to bite one of them in an attempt to free herself.
Outspoken journalist Mabel Aku Baneseh who took to Facebook to express her frustration over the video said: “I’m so anguished. No amount of words can describe my rage. Those young men deserve nothing but death. The law will DEFINITELY catch up with themâ€.

The development comes in the wake of increased awareness in Ghanaian society on the abuse of women and children.
Faces of the boys can easily be seen speaking a Ghanaian language (Twi) with the eldest amongst them urging the younger ones not to be afraid in laying the girl in question who at a point became weak and begged to be allowed alone.
Meanwhile, calls have been intensified for the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service to investigate the matter and get the suspects arrested and dealt with to serve as a deterrent to others.
