Former HIV/AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, has on Saturday, 7 July 2018 threatened to kill her children, after which she will also commit suicide.

In a Facebook post, Ms. Mensah said she had an upcoming interview at 3FM later on Saturday afternoon after which she would proceed to the village where she would take her own life and that of her children.

She wrote: “These are my three children. Today is our last day on earth. I have my last interview at 3fm this afternoon. I will then proceed to the village where my children are. Am going to kill them and kill myself.”

The post further revealed that the former HIV/AIDS ambassador’s reason for wanting to commit suicide was due to society’s judgment of her and her children.

According to her, they are going to a place where there will be no sorrow, or name calling or being judged wrongly and a place where they would not have to pay school fees or accommodation.

The former HIV/AIDS ambassador wrote “We are going to a place where there is no sorrow, a place where people will never call my children AIDS children, a place where I will not be judged wrongly, a place where there is no hunger. A place where my children will not be sacked for school fees, a place where we will not pay for accommodation. A place where no one will beat me for using their bathroom. May our souls rest in peace.”

The post appears to have been deleted from her Facebook wall hours after it went viral.
