The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has reaffirmed Government’s commitment to expanding Ghana’s global trade footprint through the official launch of the Made-in-Ghana FIFA World Cup 2026 Expo.

Speaking at the launch event in Accra on Friday, April 17, 2026, the HMinister described the upcoming Expo as a strategic opportunity to showcase Ghanaian excellence on one of the "world’s biggest global stages".

She noted that Ghana’s participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026 presents a timely platform to project the country not only as a football nation, but also as a competitive source of high-quality products, innovation, and enterprise.

According to the Hon. Minister, the Made-in-Ghana Expo, set for June 22–23, 2026 in Boston, will create direct market opportunities for Ghanaian businesses by connecting them with international buyers, investors, and the Ghanaian diaspora.

Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare highlighted the strength and diversity of Ghana’s export sector, citing opportunities in textiles, agro-processing, natural beauty products, and digital innovation.

She stressed that the initiative aligns with Government’s broader vision of promoting non-traditional exports, supporting local industries, and creating sustainable economic growth through international trade.
The Hon. Minister further assured stakeholders of the Ministry’s continued support in opening doors for Ghanaian enterprises and ensuring that the Expo translates into lasting business partnerships and tangible export gains.

Hon. Mrs Ofosu-Adjare further commended LITINA Travel and Tour for driving the initiative, describing the platform as an innovative blend of trade promotion, diaspora engagement, and economic diplomacy.

She urged Ghanaian businesses to seize the moment and position themselves for global competitiveness, emphasizing that the FIFA World Cup presents more than a sporting spectacle; it offers Ghana an unprecedented opportunity to deepen its international commercial presence.

Stakeholders at the event, including representatives of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) lauded the initiative, stating that it is a good platform to promote Ghanaian products and strengthen the country’s standing in the global marketplace.
