Indiggo, in partnership with Fortune, ranked Delta Air Lines No. 3 overall in its ReturnOnLeadership® (ROL100®) list, up one spot from last year.
Delta remains the highest-ranked airline and the No. 1 company in its sector, highlighting its strong leadership and clear vision for the future.
The ROL100 ranking uses AI to measure leadership based on four key factors: connection to purpose, strategic clarity, leadership alignment, and focused action. It leverages publicly available information to analyze a broad array of leadership factors to assess how well companies execute their leadership strategies—an important predictor of long-term success. Delta ranked very high in the connection to purpose score.
This recognition shows Delta’s commitment to effective leadership, setting it apart as a leader not just in aviation, but across the Fortune 500. The airline’s continued top ranking reflects a focused, aligned leadership team driving lasting value. Across the Fortune 100, companies with high ROL scores are more consistently profitable than those ranked lower.
“For 100 years, Delta leaders have put our values and our people at the forefront of everything we do,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “So, we know from experience that companies that consistently live their values also regularly outperform their competitors. As we move into our next century of flight, those values – putting people first, always – will continue to push us forward as we transform travel and connect the world like never before.”
