President John Mahama is expected to inaugurate the FPSO Professor John Evans Atta Mills to commence oil production from the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme known as the TEIN fields.

The Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme is expected to produce between 20,000-23,000 barrels of oil per day.

The TEIN project which is a joint venture led by Tullow Oil, Kosmos Energy, Anadarko Petroleum corporation, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and Petrol SA will add to the approximately 80,000 barrels of oil per day being produced by the Jubilee fields, and an average of 30 million standard cubic feet of gas per day over the next five years. The production is expected to reach 100million standard cubic feet of gas per day by 2032.

With additional gas coming on stream, government hopes to meet its target of achieving 80% of her thermal gas being gas-based generation for fuel security.

Tullow Oil is optimistic production from TEIN will increase production and oil revenue, starrfmonline reported.
