The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced a two-week shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant in the Western Region for scheduled maintenance.

The planned suspension is scheduled from August 16 to 30, 2025.

In a statement, the Ministry said the shutdown is part of the government’s broader commitment to ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of key national energy infrastructure.

To avert disruptions in power supply, the Ministry says it is working closely with key players in the power sector to deploy alternative fuel sources during the maintenance period.

These measures are expected to keep electricity supply stable and uninterrupted nationwide.
