The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has announced the immediate suspension of the license of Evanex Gold Enterprise, a Tier 2 licensed gold buyer.
The decision, contained in a Compliance Notice issued August 28, 2025, by the Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Gyamfi, follows investigative findings which revealed that the company engaged in illegal gold pricing practices in violation of its licensing terms.
The Board has directed all licensed traders, miners, and the general public to cease any form of gold transactions with Evanex Gold Enterprise with immediate effect. GoldBod reaffirmed its commitment to upholding regulations within the gold trading sector and promoting accountability and transparency.
GoldBod said it remained focused on enforcing compliance to maintain integrity and fairness in Ghana’s gold industry.
