The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has issued a compliance notice to all licensed gold buyers, urging strict adherence to reporting obligations set out in their licensing conditions.

In Compliance Notice No. GOLDBOD/2026/04, the regulator stated that some gold buying licensees have failed to submit mandatory monthly transaction reports, in violation of the terms governing their operations.

GoldBod reminded licensees that they are required to prepare and submit detailed monthly reports capturing daily gold purchases, including quantity, purity, value, and other relevant trading activities for the reporting period.

The Board emphasized that these reports must be submitted within 15 days after the end of each month, noting that reports for January 2026 were due on February 15, 2026.

The regulator warned that failure to comply with any term or condition of a gold buying licence may lead to revocation and constitutes an offence under Section 63 of the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025.
