Kingdom Books & Stationery, one of the leading book stores in Accra has received GHc12, 917,168 million in claims from its insurer – Donewell Insurance Company Limited.

The payment follows the razing by fire of the bookstore's warehouse at Prampram, three months ago. The amount is expected to be used in restoring the facility and stock it to the original state prior to the disaster.

Speaking to the media after presentation of the cheque - Chief Executive Officer of Donewell Insurance, Seth Aklasi, noted that the payment was in compliance with the company’s commitment to providing a reliable springboard for its policy holders when their businesses or assets are threatened by unforeseen negative circumstances.

Responding to the insurer’s fulfilled promise on behalf of management - Financial Controller of the Book Store, Peter Akomaning, thanked the insurance company for its timely intervention and reiterated that it will enable the bookstore recoup its losses within the shortest possible time.
