President Mahama has intimated that political figures have to monitor world affairs to understand the Brexit and Trump phenomena.

He was interacting with captains of industry when he chaired the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Club 100 Breakfast Meeting earlier today.

The president who is seeking a second term urged the business gurus not to be swayed by the numerous unattainable pledges of his rival, Nana Addo stressing some people hold simple view of issues when they are on the outside.

“Some say when I come I will do this and do that but when reality sets in they realise things are not so rosy.”

He stated like Donald Trump who shouted at the roof top that he will build a mighty wall to stop migrants but have had to tone down after his win, Akufo Addo also goes around promising factories but when reality sets in would be found wanting.

The NDC presidential nominee pledged to do his part so the 7th election of the 4th republic will be free and without violence.
