President Akufo-Addo appoints Alhassan Tampoli as new boss of NPA

President Nana Akuo-Addo has appointed Lawyer Alhassan Tampoli as the new Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority(NPA).

Energy Minister-designate Boakye Agyarko though yet-to-be-approved signed the letter which stated the appointment of Alhassan Tampoli as Caretaker CEO the NPA.

The letter sighted by Primenewsghana signed by Mr. Agyarko, reads “It is my pleasure to inform you that His Excellency the President of the Republic, has appointed you as the care-taker CEO of the NPA. You will act in that capacity until a substantive CEO is approved. As a care-taker CEO, you will not take decisions that have policy implications until a substantive Management Governing Board is in place”

It stated further that “You may refer such policy-related decisions to the Ministry for prior approval. Accept my congratulations for your appointment”.

Alhassan Tampoli is a legal practitioner who hails from Gushegu in the Northern region and a graduate of both the Faculty of Law and Business School of the University of Ghana .

The 40-year-old who has worked with the National Service Scheme(NSS) and several law firms in the country.

He would take over from Moses Asaga.
