After pictures emerged of a swollen Wayoosi indicating fluid retention in his system, the president has reportedly offered funds to aid in the actor’s medical rehabilitation.
Clement Bonney alias Mr. Beautiful affirmed Mr. Mahama indeed made GH₵5,000 available for the young actor’s use.
“It’s true the president has made a donation to Wayoosi. He will go and pay him a visit next week. He did so through the Tourism Ministry.â€
Wayoosi real name Joseph Nana Osei Kofi has been hospitalized at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
Abrantepa.com notes the fund was forwarded to ‘Ashanti Faithfuls for Mahama’ member Asare Bediako who himself is a director and movie producer for onward delivery to the ill actor.
Wayoosi is reportedly a member of ‘Celebrities for Mahama’ group which cushions entertainers in stress. Other beneficiaries include Kofi Laing (Kohwe), Paapa Yankson, Ewurama Badu, C.K. Mann, J.A Adofo and William Addo.
40-year-old Wayoosi is an emerging actor often featured in Kumasi produced films. It is not clear which illness the diminutive actor is suffering from but kidney disease would not be far-fetched.

Meanwhile Evelyn Owusu, wife of the Kumawood actor is reported to have stated her husband is now responding to treatment. He is also a father to a baby girl. Â
