The writing was on the wall when Giovani Caleb was shuffled from Live FM to Starr FM as the sit-in co-host for Bola Ray alongside Anita Erskine on the Starr Drive a few months ago.

But clarity was given on Thursday, August 4th on the Starr Drive when Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye-Adisi alias Bola Ray announced he was concluding his 15-year on air career handing over the mantle to promising lad, Giovani partnered by experience hand Anita.

For Giovani, this was a huge step up. Little surprise then when he expressed his delight on Facebook: “Words can’t simply describe how highly elated I am to see this day. Today I celebrate one man who’s not only my boss but a big brother and mentor, my great inspiration. One I can confidently say I trust and admire. My prayer today is that this 15-year anniversary will be the beginning of more successful years ahead sir. Happy Anniversary CEO of EIB NETWORK GH – Mr Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye-Adisi a.k.a BOLA RAY a.k.a BOLAS! God bless you! God bless EIB! Happy 2 years STARR103.5 FM.”

Bola Ray is a proven man as an administrator and a presenter cum DJ. His exploits on radio bear him out as does his Empire Network and events hosting. Perhaps this move is to give him ample time to attend to the administrative end of operations, globetrotting to meet heavyweights and conclude mega deals on behalf of his chief partner Dr. Dufuor.

Bola Ray secured fame with his ‘Top City Jam’ show at Top Radio before heading to Multimedia hosting the ‘Drivetime on Joy’ show, solidifying his reputation as a lethal operator for 11 years.

But as with many things, Bola moved on to become the Chief Executive Officer for the EIB Network in addition to his Empire Group of Companies. In the last two years he together with the team have given competitors a run for their money with compelling programmes and efficient personnel.

His ‘Starr Chat’ and ‘Starr Drive’ interviews have become staples in the diet of radio consumers.

Despite the fame and wealth, Bola Ray keeps acquiring knowledge to remain competitive. He has had stints at the University of Ghana, Central University College, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan (ALTIS), Catholic Institute of Business and Technology (CIBT) and the University of Ghana Business School.
