Blakk Rasta set to perform for 50,000 crowd in Zimbabwe

Reggae musician and Pan Africanist Blakk Rasta who on the invitation of Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has been in the country since 21st February 2016, continues to sample the city and honour performance invitations.

 

Blakk Rasta and his Herbalist Band conferred with the African strongman on 24th February 2016 with Blakk Rasta disclosing “I played 3 songs for him, 'Mugabe', 'Kwame Nkrumah' and 'Serwaa Akoto'. He loved them and asked why I didn’t bring him fufu from Ghana. He spoke Ghana pidgin.”

The ‘Barack Obama’ and ‘Kwame Nkrumah’ hitmaker was also present at the 7th edition of the Zimbabwe Music Awards on Thursday, 25 February 2016. The annual Award Ceremony is to acknowledge and honour musical excellence and creativity.

According to the ‘Salaga Soldier’, he’s billed to play at Mashingo on Saturday to a 50,000 plus crowd.
