The Ghana Film industry has rebranded the movie industry from 'Ghallywood' to "Gollywood". 

The rebranding event was launched during the 60-years on Film Summit at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).

The launch was attended by top personalities and heads of the various associations in the Creative Arts industry, including President of Ghana Actors Guild, Samuel Fiscian and the South African High Commission to Ghana, H.E Lulu Xingwana, among others.

Awards were given to deserving players in the industry under the “Legendary Awards” schemes.

The late Godwin Kotey and Mac Jordan Amartey were awarded a posthumous honour alongside other actors like Fiifi Coleman, Grace Omaboe, Bill Asamoah, Adjetey Anang, Kenn Fiati, Abeiku Nyame (Jagger Pee) Paa Geoge, Kalsoum Sinare, Agya Koo, and others.
