Creativity drives my music-M.anifest

Ghanaian rapper Manifest believes processing what he sees, feels, conversations, experiences and connecting it with his mind and spirit make his music unique, and stands out of from the rest.

According to Manifest, known in real live as Ametepee Tsikata, creativity has been the main drive of his music carrier which has helped him produce  quality songs.

There have been arguments about how most contemporary songs produce in Ghana  lack the lyrical content and creativity, which shorten their lifespan-compare to those produced before the turn of the 21 Century.

The accusation is that, those songs do not last because of their lack of originality and creative presence, which makes them one hit makers. 

Manifest, crowned Ghana’s Hip-Hop and best rapper by the board of Ghana Music Awards, said his pattern of music is influenced by his grandfather, Professor Nketia, a renowned legend in folk music, whose credentials are very much respected across the world. He said the ability to blend traditional rhythms with current trend makes his work exceptional

Manifest’s music credentials have been recognized across Ghana, and was awarded Midem Best Artist (2017)- International Midem Awards, France and Minnesota Emerging composer Award (MECA) (2010) - American Composers Forum.

Speaking to JoyFM on how he sustains his reign in the music industry, he referenced the advice from his grandfather and his ability to be able to connect with the community, where he gets most of his lyrics from.

He praised innovation and adaptability as some of the reasons why he continues to be relevant in the industry.
