The Ghanaian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following reports that popular Highlife musician, Dada KD, has passed away.
Details of the cause of his death is not yet known.
Dada KD's death is coming at a time when he has been billed together with other artistes such as Obrafour, Slim Buster, Kojo Blakk for show in London on May 25.
Some Ghanaians have taken to social media to pay their tribute.
Award-winning gospel singer, Empress Gifty, posted a photo of the late singer with the caption:
“I have this… I have this… it is not worth it. Your life matters. Hmmmm life hmmm. DADA KD RIP.”
Prominent broadcaster Ohemaa Woyeje also wrote :
“Bad news! Death! Another great musician down. Let’s hope the news overturns.”
His colleague, Dada Hafco also posted, “KD?Chaleee Ei”.
Dada KD is best known for songs such as Fatia Fata Nkrumah, Tekyere Ma, Ene Menye, Wosuro a Wondi, Honey Love, among others.
