I dropped out of Legon due to poor performance – Kontihene

Ghanaian Hip-hop artiste, Kontihene has finally disclosed reasons behind his dropping out of the country’s premier university – University of Ghana, Legon.  

Kontihene, as he is popularly known by fans said he couldn’t complete his degree programme at the institution due to poor performance.

In an encounter with the media, he noted how he had struggled to was meet the university’s required basic academic performance.

He added that despite this initial set-back in his pursuit of a higher education, he finally was able to earn his degree at the Hampton University, Virginia – United States.

In his own words,” I have a degree in Business Administration. Hampton University; I was dispelled from Legon some time back. I travelled for a show. When I returned I had failed miserable”.

Konithene, in year 2000 made his break into the centre stage of Ghana’s music industry with his song ‘Nyankonton’ – a piece that won him several awards at that year’s edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

Other notable hitz by Kontihene include, Aketesia, Asesa, Adjoa, Seniwa, among others. Meanwhile his latest most song on the is ‘Sakoaba’ and ‘Di’.
