One question Kumawood actor, Abraham Kofi Davis popularly known as Salinco, gets asked a lot of times is how he managed to snag his beautiful wife.

And his answer always is that he has good taste, especially for beautiful women.

“Close friends know that I always go in for the best ladies. I might not have money but my lady has to be beautiful. In fact, all the ladies I have dated in the past are very beautiful,” he told Showbiz on Saturday, January 19.

According to Salinco, a lot of people are shocked whenever he introduces his wife, Beatrice Owusu Davis to them citing media personality and music producer, Mark Okraku Mantey, as among those who were surprised he had such a lady as his wife.

“Apart from Mark Okraku, I get so many unwarranted comments about why such a beautiful lady should marry someone like me. I don’t think I look that bad, the fact that I play comedy or fetish priest roles does not mean I am stupid or silly,” he said.

Asked how he met his wife, Salinco said they met in Kumasi and it was the way she smiled at him that gave him confidence to approach her.

Describing his wife, Salinco said Beatrice is one of a kind adding he has never come across a woman who is as selfless as she is.

Away from his love life, Salinco said he was grateful to Fadda Dickson and Osei Kwame Despite for accepting to air his programme Boys Abre which is now one of the most watched shows on UTV.

Salinco, who is known for movies like The Mask, Me Judge Akasa, So So And So, Ghana Police and The Soil, said the local movie industry can bounce back if players adopt new strategies to sell the movies including putting them on flash drives.

“My people at the village cannot come to the Silverbird Cinemas to watch the movies so I suggest we put the movies on the pen drive and take it to the villages,” he said.

According to him, those in the villages purchase the local movies more and movie producers like Peace and Love, Danfo BA, Socrates Safo can testify to this,” he added.
