Tens of Kumawood stars on Tuesday visited the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to pay their final respect to the late Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, who died aged 111.

Stars including Lil Win, Wayoosi and Emeila Brobbey were clad in black and red mourning clothes as they attended the second day of the final funeral rites of the late queen.

The funeral, which has drawn dignitaries from all over the world, has been characterised by a brilliant display of Ashanti culture and tradition.

The late Asantehemaa was born in 1905, four years after the War of the Golden Stool in 1900 which was led by the Ejisuhemaa Nana Yaa Asantewaa.

Her father was Kwadwo Afodo) from Kwabre Achiase; who was also the son of former Asantehene Mensah Bonsu.
