The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that Accra Hearts of Oak will play the remainder of their home matches in the 2025–26 Ghana Premier League season at the Accra Sports Stadium.
This decision follows the temporary closure of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, which is set to undergo renovation and redevelopment works.
In an official statement, the GFA explained that the shutdown of the University of Ghana facility made it necessary for the Phobians to return to their traditional home ground in Accra.
Hearts of Oak began the season at the Accra Sports Stadium, where they played five matches before moving to the Legon-based venue and hosting seven fixtures there.
The return to the Accra Sports Stadium comes at a pivotal moment in the season. Hearts of Oak are currently fourth on the league table, trailing leaders Bibiani Gold Stars by six points with eight matches left to play.
Under head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, the team will play five of their remaining fixtures at home and three away as they push for the title.
