FIPAG PR and Welfare Officer Michael Kwaku Ola has reportedly rendered on a Kumasi based radio station that president Mahama is prepared to fly actor Wayoosi out of the country for medical support should his illness require specialist care.
“What the president wants to know is the full report of his sickness to know if he needs to travel outside for operation or it can be done here. He also wants to know how many days the actor will spend at the hospital to have a fair idea on how much is going to cost him. Unfortunately, the doctor couldn’t give us these details so we are waiting for them to give us these details to forward it to the president for him to know his next step. If things get critical, the president has assured that he will make sure the actor is taken outside the country†Ola informed Kesben FM’s DJ Roar on his show.
Pictures had emerged of a swollen Wayoosi indicating fluid retention in his system. The president has reportedly offered GH₵5,000 to aid in the 40-year-old actor’s medical rehabilitation.
Wayoosi real name Joseph Nana Osei Kofi has been hospitalized at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi receiving treatment.
