Ghanaian Grammy award nominee, Rocky Dawuni in a recent interview disclosed that he once taught rapper Sarkodie in school during his National Service days in Koforidua.  

According to the ‘African Reggae Fever’ hitmaker, he got an offer to teach from a woman staying close to him to help teach her little once and he recently realized that rapper Sarkodie was one of the children he taught. 

“…so a few years later, I found out that one of my students was actually Sarkodie. At that time Sarkodie was also in Koforidua schooling. So I had the opportunity of teaching him at that time,” he said.

Speaking with Merqury Quaye on HitzFM's 'Cruise Control' show, Rocky also disclosed that he normally receive an invitation to teach in some Universities in the United State of America and also in his role as the UN goodwill ambassador he usually gets an appointment as a spokesperson to certain UN initiatives so teaching has been part of him and it feels good. 

“It’s been a long time since then but I’ve done lectures in certain universities in the United States (U.S.),” he added.

Rocky Dawumi is currently in Ghana to promote his new album titled ‘Beats of Zion’.
