Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia during her trip to India a few days ago, visited the cast of the popular Indian series aired on Adom TV KumKum Bhagya.
According to reports, Samira Bawumia visited the set of the popular series to meet and interact with some of the cast.
A character in the series posted a picture on Instagram to express joy at meeting the Second Lady of Ghana.
The post read "it was an honour and a pleasure to meet the second Lady of Ghana @sbawumia"
Meanwhile, a section of the Ghanaian public has criticized the move by the Second Lady by insinuating that the picture was in a way endorsing Indian soap opera to the detriment of local movies.
A local movie producer, Ola Kwaku Michael in a post riddled with sarcasm read "Have your say. But stop fighting kumkum bagya. It's a lost battle! Well done 2nd lady. You are a great inspiration to the Ghana film industry."
