A 51-year-old carpenter is wanted by the police for allegedly cutting off son’s fingers at New Adansi Ayaase a suburb of Adansi Fomena in the Ashanti region, adomonline has reported.

The suspect, Kwaku Bio Essel popularly known as Kwaku Aportoye committed the heinous crime after accusing his son of stealing.
According to the  report, the suspect cut off four fingers of the right hand of his 16-year-old son whose name was only given as David with a hacksaw for no apparent reason.
Narrating his ordeal,, the victim said the claim of theft by his father is palpable false.
He noted that his intoxicated father, Kwaku Aportoye attacked him with a hacksaw in the room and hacked with his fingers.
David said his distraught mother rushed to the room and tried desperately to stop the blood gushing from the hand after which he quickly reported the matter to the police and was given a report to seek medical treatment.
“I reported the matter to the police station for a report and we took it to hospital and the fingers were sewn back onâ€.
Also, wife of the carpenter, Comfort Kwankyewaa said she is not surprised at her husband’s conduct.
According to her, the suspect has been terrorizing them at home but she was afraid to report him to the police revealing that her husband has threatened to kill their first child who had completed Junior High School.
She asked for police protection since her husband said to be in Obuasi has vowed to kill her for reporting the matter to the police.
