Some parts of the capital were submerged following two days of heavy downpour.
Areas flooded include, Darkuman junction, Mallam, Agbogbloshie, Teshie, Nungua, parts of Accra, Alajo, Santa Maria among others. These areas experienced heavy downpour Saturday night as well as Sunday afternoon.

Victims of the flooding tried to salvage some of the properties which were being washed away by the floods.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) has projected heavy rains in the coming weeks and has therefore asked Ghanaians to take precautionary measures to protect themselves and properties.
