Bawumia signs Theresa Kufuor's book of condolence

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, October 3 paid former president John Agyekum Kufuor a visit to offer his condolences following the passing of his wife, Theresa Kufuor.

The Vice President Bawumia also signed a book of condolence opened in memory of the late Theresa Kufuor.

Bawumia was accompanied to the late Theresa Kufuor's Peduase residence by his wife Samira Bawumia and other stalwarts of the New Patriotic Party.

Dr Bawumia had in an earlier Facebook post expressed sadness at the death of Theresa Kufuor which occurred on Sunday, October 1.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has directed that all flags in the nation be flown at half-mast for seven days in honour of the late former First Lady, Mama Theresa as she was affectionately.

A statement signed by Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Monday, October 2, 2023 said the half-mast flying of flags will be for a week-from Monday, October 2, 2023, to Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Theresa Kufuor served as Ghana’s First Lady from 2001 to 2009.
