Borteyman gets new police station

Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has officially commissioned the Borteyman Police Station in Accra, describing it as a symbol of the community’s determination to protect lives, safeguard properties, and uphold the rule of law.

Muntaka extended his gratitude to the Ghana Police Service, residents, and stakeholders for their tireless efforts and collaboration in making the police station a reality. He emphasized that the police station will serve as a vital hub for police operations and community engagement, enabling officers to respond swiftly to challenges and work closely with residents to address security concerns.

The Minister called on residents to partner with the police, share information, and work together to foster a culture of safety and peace. He also charged the officers serving at the station to engage with the community, listen to their concerns, and serve with dedication and respect.

The Tema Regional Police Commander, DCOP Barnabas Nasumong, in additional remarks, echoed the Minister’s call for professionalism and community partnership, assuring residents that the station would operate with integrity and responsiveness to local needs.

The event was attended by the Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of the Interior, the Inspector General of Police, Commissioners of Police, officers of the Ghana Police Service, Borteyman residents.
