Chief of Staff swears in newly reconstituted MiDA Board

The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, swore in the newly constituted board of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA).

At a brief ceremony in Accra, Julius Debrah urged the members to rally behind the organisation’s Chief Executive, Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould, whom he described as ‘very innovative and progressive.’

He emphasised the critical role MiDA plays in the government’s development agenda and called on the newly constituted board to lend their full support to Mr. Mould in advancing the authority’s objectives.

The reconstituted MiDA board chaired by Charles Abugre Akelyira, is made up of Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Minister of Finance, John Abdulai Jinapor, the Minister of Energy, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, the Minister of Trade, Agribusiness and Industries.

Others are the Alexander Kofi-Mensah Mould, the Chief Executive of MiDA, John Awuah, a private sector representative from the Private Enterprise Foundation, Ralph Mawuenyega Kojo Ayitey, also a private sector representative from the Association of Ghana Industries, and Ing. Dr. William Amuna.

Speaking on behalf of the board’s chairperson, the Minister of Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor, pledged the board’s commitment to supporting President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda.

He stressed that the board would work diligently to fast-track initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth.
