The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise.
This will result in temporary power outages in several communities within the Accra East Region. The disruptions are scheduled from Monday, August 10, to Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Affected customers will experience interruptions between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm each day. This eight-hour daily outage aims to improve electricity service delivery in the affected areas. The maintenance work is part of ECG's ongoing efforts to upgrade its infrastructure.

According to a press statement issued on Saturday, August 8, 2026, ECG stated the exercise is crucial for system reliability.

The first day, Monday, August 10, will affect Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, and Ability.
On Tuesday, August 11, areas such as Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, and Manet Junction will experience outages. Wednesday, August 12, will see disruptions in parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, and Libya Quarters. The final day, Thursday, August 13, will impact Achimota School and its surrounding areas.
