The Ministry of Education has announced the completion of payments for two outstanding teacher allowances for November 2025.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the Ministry said the Controller and Accountant-Generalโs Department (CAGD) successfully processed and disbursed the allowances after resolving a technical issue that affected the final payroll run.
The Ministry explained that the delay was due to an unforeseen technical problem, which has now been fully addressed, allowing the payments to be completed.
It apologized to teachers nationwide for the inconvenience and thanked them for their patience and continued dedication to quality education.
The Ministry further assured that it will continue collaborating with the CAGD and other stakeholders to strengthen payroll systems and prevent similar delays in the future.

- The Ministry of Education wishes to notify all teachers across the country that the Controller and Accountant-Generalโs Department (CAGD) has finished processing and paying the two types of teacher allowances planned for November 2025.
- The Ministry acknowledges that a technical issue in the final payroll run prevented the payment from being processed as planned. This unforeseen challenge has since been resolved, by the CAGD, paving the way for the completion of the payments.
- The Ministry of Education apologizes to all affected teachers for the delay and any inconvenience it may have caused. We deeply appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued dedication of our teachers, whose commitment remains central to the delivery of quality education across Ghana.
