A delegation of chiefs and opinion leaders from the Ada Traditional Area called on former President John Dramani Mahama as part of preparations for this year's Ada Asafotufiami Festival scheduled for next month.
The purpose of the visit was to officially invite the former President, to the mammoth celebration which is expected to bring together several dignitaries from all walks of life.
This year's celebration would mark the 80th Anniversary of the Asafotufiami Festival which begins from the first friday in August through to the weekend.
The event would be on the theme, 'Peace and Unity as a tool for socio-economic transformation of the Ada Traditional Area.'
Ex-President Mahama pledged to be present at the event along with several personalities from the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).
Former President Jerry John Rawlings was also invited for the event in the same manner and expected to be a Guest of Honour.
President Nana Akufo-Addo and other government officials would grace the festival which over the years have become one of the biggest in the country.
The President would use the opportunity to address the people of Ada on developmental issues especially with regards to the One District, One Factory initiative.
