Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has officially been sworn in as the Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
The ceremony, held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, also saw the induction of Prof. Ransford Gyampo, acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, as a board member, Capt. James Richmond Quayeson and Mr Stephane Abbas Meizan
Their appointments are part of a broader government initiative to reinforce the governance and strategic leadership of the GPHA as it navigates major reforms and infrastructure expansion projects.
The newly reconstituted board is expected to provide policy direction, enhance operational efficiency, and help position Ghana’s ports as key players in international trade.
