The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, December 5, is a statutory public holiday.
In a statement, Minister Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka explained that the day will be observed nationwide as Farmers’ Day.
Farmers’ Day, marked every year on the first Friday of December, honours the vital role Ghana’s farmers and fishers play in national development, food security, and economic growth.
This year’s celebration is themed “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future”.
The Ministry encouraged the public to observe the holiday in a manner that reflects its importance.
