The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has successfully contained a fire outbreak that occurred at the Oyoko Methodist Senior High School in Koforidua on the evening of August 4, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Service, the fire affected only the housemaster’s residence, destroying the roof, ceiling, home appliances, and other personal belongings.
However, no casualties were recorded.
The service indicated that an investigation has since been launched to determine the cause of the fire, although preliminary findings point to an electrical fault within the ceiling of the housemaster’s residence.
