The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that it will carry out a Land Combat Fire Power Demonstration Exercise at the Bundase Training Camp on Friday, October 31, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Department of Public Relations at the General Headquarters in Burma Camp, Accra, the Armed Forces said the exercise forms part of efforts to test the operational readiness of its personnel in defending the country against external aggression.
The live exercise will involve the use of live ammunition, explosives, and heavy military equipment, which will produce loud sounds and visible flashes.
GAF, therefore, cautioned the general public—especially residents of Dawhenya and its surrounding communities—to stay away from the training area during the period of the exercise.
“The public is therefore advised to stay away from the training area and its surroundings during this period. Residents are also entreated not to be alarmed by the movement of troops, military vehicles, or the sounds of explosives that may be heard within the general area,” the statement read.
According to the release signed by Captain (Ghana Navy) V.A. Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations, adequate safety measures have been put in place to ensure the security of residents and participants.
“The Armed Forces counts on the cooperation of the general public during this exercise,” the statement added.
