The Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Manish Gupta, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, in his office at the Ministry, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The High Commissioner congratulated the Minister on his appointment and expressed enthusiasm for exploring areas of cooperation that will benefit the two countries.
The Minister thanked him for the visit and urged the High Commissioner to provide training programmes for the Ministry and its Agencies and technology transfer and economic cooperation with a focus on mutual benefit.
Trade relations between Ghana and India were also discussed, with a focus on enhancing economic cooperation.
Muntaka highlighted the long-standing relationship between Ghana and India. He also noted that the large Indian community in Ghana has consistently demonstrated law-abiding behaviour and harmonious coexistence with the local population.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties committed to strengthening bilateral ties and promoting cooperation in various fields.
