Ghana Water Ltd. (GWL) has announced a temporary interruption in water supply to parts of western Accra on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, to facilitate urgent repairs on a 36-inch transmission pipeline from the Weija Treatment Plant.
The affected areas include Korle-Bu, Dansoman, Mamprobi, Chorkor, Malam, Gbawe, Ablekuma, Kwashiman, Awoshie, Sowutuom, Santa Maria, Tesano, Abeka, Kaneshie, Odorkor, Dakuman, and nearby communities.
The maintenance will run from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., after which supply is expected to return to normal.
GWL has apologised for the inconvenience and advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water ahead of the works.
