GHone TV morning show host Kafui Dey was awarded the best graduate student in Journalism with distinction at the Masters' congregation of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).

One-hundred and twelve people, including NDC MP for Odododiodio Nii Lante Vanderpuye graduated with various Master’s degrees including MA in Journalism, MA in Public Relation, MA in Media Management and MA in Development Communication.
46 students graduated with MA in Development Communication, MA in Public relation, Media Management and Journalism, had 44, 14 and 8 students respectively passing out.
 The Awardee was given a brand new laptop, a branded certificate and a printer.
