A 14years class six pupil in Assin Fosu in the central region cannot properly walk nor eat after being raped by a chainsaw operator in the area.
The girl who was sent to mill cassava for an evening meal was called by the chainsaw operator to deliver a parcel for the mother.
According to the 14year old girl because she had seen the man discussing business with her mother she thought the man had no bad motive.
Narrating the incident, the girl said she struggled to call for help but the man overpowered her, covered her mouth and beat her up after which he threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to her mother.
The district police commander Chief Superintendent Henry Batso noted it has become a norm in the area for men to use toffees to lure children into their room and rape them.
He cautioned small girls to be careful of men in the area. The chainsaw operator is currently facing trial at the Assin Fosu district court.
